Street Racer is a simple racing game. Like any casual car racing games available, it pits you against AI racers and challenges you to complete the race in the shortest time possible. You start the game by participating in a race which will give you access to more competitions. It comes with two game modes, namely, the single race and the championship mode. The championship mode lets you play various levels while the single race allows you to play any level you finished in the championship mode. With this mode, you can relive any race you’ve done before to set a better record. Street Racer comes with a timer which records the time you took to finish a race. It even keeps your best time so you can see your fastest time.

The game offers various vehicles that you can use. Players can unlock a new car every time they finish two races.

For the Casual Racer

First things first, if you are looking for a hard-core racing game, like the Forza series or Asphalt, then you better look for another game because Street Racer is only for casual gamers looking for entertainment. The game does not provide a car interior view and does not come with a driving simulation feature. It only provides you with a top-down view, so you are more of a spectator than the actual driver.

Secondly, the game has only one racetrack so it wouldn’t give you various views. The only thing you will take into consideration when playing is when to make a turn, which won’t be a problem. The game provides a small map of the track on the lower-left corner of the screen to give you a wider view of the track. More so, a red arrow appears on the track whenever it’s the time for you to make a turn. Don’t bother overthinking your turns, because the arrow indicates your direction.

Thirdly, while the game comes in 3D, you won’t be seeing cool graphics like the popular racing games. The cars, the track, and all other objects in the game come with a very simple look. The game also does not offer any additional effects. So, even if you bump into the other cars in the racetrack, our car will continue moving as if nothing happened.

Taking things into consideration, Street Racer will be a nice game if you are only looking for a casual racing game. It can give you a nice thrill, especially if you are looking to set a nice time record. However, for avid gamers, it might not meet your expectations. The game is simple with repetitive gameplay that you might be bored two minutes after playing. So, if you are looking for a more action-packed racing game, you might want to look elsewhere.
