Pokémon Masters is a role-playing game by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International. The game features iconic Pokémon characters across whole generations. Players compete in 3-on-3 matches against other challengers.

Legendary island matches

Pokémon Masters takes place on the artificial island Pasio. A team of Pokémon and their trainer is called Sync Pairs. Each pair has a special bond that has been tested over the years of trainer battles. Every trainer and gym leader has traveled from their respective regions to Paiso Island with their partner Pokémon. Players participate in the Pokémon Masters League tournament on the Pasio Island. They get paired with a partner Pokémon. They also team up with other Pokémon trainers and gym leaders while forming a friendship with them along the way.

Players have to befriend other sync pairs on the island and form an undefeatable team. Fans of the Pokémon franchise can expect legendary characters like Red, Blue, Cynthia, Misty, Brock, Erika, Brendan, Rosa and more. The game comes with 3-on-3 matches in real-time. This is somehow different compared to the usual Pokémon battles from the previous games. Players can issue commands, as well as use unique moves and healing items. Trainer moves boost the stats of their Pokémon and even give a variety of effects. They can also command their Pokémon to unleash powerful attacks once the move gauge refills as time goes by.

The game encourages strategy for different kinds of matches. Players have to choose the ideal Sync Pair to face rival Sync Pairs. The main goal is to become the champion of the Pokémon Masters League.

What to expect during the 4.5th-year celebration event

To celebrate Pokemon Masters EX’s 4.5th anniversary, the game is set to roll out a handful of new content for its long-time fans. Highlighting these goodies are two new Sync Pairs, Geeta with her Glimmora and Silver (Champion) with his Mega Tyranitar. Besides that, players will also be able to claim Riley and his Lucario upon completing the newest event. Furthermore, the game is also set to introduce a “photo creator” feature that will allow players to make custom pictures of their characters. Finally, players will also receive 3,000 free gems upon logging in for a limited time.
