Color Effects enables you to add a dramatic color effect to the images on your iPhone or iPad with just your fingers.

You can use the photos stored in your iPhone or iPad, import images from Facebook or take one with the device’s camera on the spot. Once you’ve chosen the image, Color Effects displays it in black and white and you’re ready to start coloring it any way you like.

Color Effects lets you choose between using the photo’s original colors or picking any other color you prefer from the palette. In either case, you can recolor any element of your choice on the image, thus making colored ones stand out over the black and white areas. Choosing different colors from the palette in Color Effects also creates a different, more original version of the actual photo. Once you’re done editing, you can email the result to your friends or publish it to your Facebook wall right away.

Color Effects is essentially very easy to use. However, painting accurately with your fingers is quite difficult – despite the program’s helpful features such as unlimited levels of undo, zoom and adjustable brush size. Also, tool menus could be improved in terms of design and usability.

With Color Effects you can easily add a dramatic color effect to any photo on your iPhone or iPad – provided you’re skillful enough to use your finger as brush.
