Xenonauts 2 is a premium strategy title for PC by developer Goldhawk Interactive. It's the sequel to the original Xenonauts tactical game that was released back in 2014. It's a standalone release that offers new players and long-time fans alike a deeply engrossing plot about humanity against an alien threat.

Compared to the original Xenonauts game, Xenonauts 2 boasts improved graphics while still remaining true to the original's retro pixel aesthetic. In addition, this new entry provides a more strategic experience with more units and infrastructures to build as players take on a wide variety of missions and scenarios.

Humans versus aliens

Xenonauts 2 takes place in an alternate timeline wherein the Cold War rages on and the Berlin Wall still stands. In it, you will be heading a secret organization operating in the shadows, gathering intel and engaging alien threats. As more strange sightings and mysterious disappearances are happening, time is of the essence for you to deal with the situation and prevent further casualties.

In this sequel, information is power, and you will need to conduct secret operations and have direct confrontations with the enemy to gather more intel. Recover confidential files and salvage alien technology from defeated foes. Have your scientists reverse engineer and upgrade gear and weapons to equip your operatives. You also need to deal with the Cleaners, an organization working in tandem with the aliens.

What's more, the experience has grown in scale more than before. You will need to establish secret bases and assign key operatives across the world. Deal with all kinds of threats coming from all fronts—land, air, and sea. Combat in this action game is turn-based and pushes you to be strategic. One aspect of the game is researching so you can be at par with your technologically advanced foes.
