Are you a gamer who loves simulations like Tropico that offer the freedom of creation and exploration, or a historian interested in recreating past events like in Age of Empires? Worlds - History Simulator provides exactly this kind of sandbox experience.
The world you create doesn't have to resemble Earth, even if it uses similar ecosystems. With this program you can craft deserts, rivers, and forests at will, inserting them into certain 2D cells to create specific climates on the map. Choose a spot where humans will first pop into life and watch them gradually populate the map. Then, manually set rainfall patterns and temperature controls to let the simulation run almost by itself.
While you'll do most of your creation in 2D mode, it doesn't have to stay that way. Switch to the 3D globe visualization to view your newly created planet in a form much like our real world - but on your computer screen! Those ecosystems formed by you will still function normally, giving you the added satisfaction of seeing how successful your world recreation really is in real-time.
If you've ever wondered what it might be like to see things from a God's-eye perspective, setting up the rules of the world before watching it spring to life and flourish through the generations, this is the game for you. While visually it may not quite be up to par with real life, the gameplay will surely keep you coming back for more
