If you've ever wanted to drive a train, Train Simulator Classic 2024 offers you the chance to do it in a digital simulation. You can choose from a range of different locomotives and routes, with classic routes in France, Germany, the UK, and other countries around the world. The goal is to load and unload passengers, hit your destination on time, and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Controlling a train in Train Simulator Classic 2024 takes a little getting used to. You can either take the driver's place in the cabin or use a control overlay that appears on the bottom of your screen in a third-person view. As you drive, you'll be responsible for keeping the train at the correct speed, but for long stretches of the journey, you'll be free to look around the landscape and check out the interior of the train as long as you keep an eye out for signals. Downloadable content includes new trains and new routes around the world.
Three iconic locomotives, 15 exclusive scenarios, and five fresh routes arrive in Train Simulator Classic 2024 Deluxe Edition to mark its 15th anniversary. This edition lets you take control of the avant-garde Pennsylvania Railroad Class GG1, the high-speed DB BR 411 'ICE-T', and the legendary British LNER Peppercorn Class A2 'Blue Peter'. Plus, you can enjoy as many as 15 never-before-seen scenarios as you ply through fresh routes in five countries alongside the most popular routes for the first time. New routes include the North Wales Coast Line (UK), the Saxony countryside (Germany), the Northeast Corridor with Washington DC (USA), LGV Marseille - Avignon (France), and the Alpine landscape (Austria).
If the idea of driving a train interests you, Train Simulator Classic 2024 is an interesting way to enjoy the experience. To get your favorite routes and engines, though, you'll have to buy some of the game's many DLC packages.
