Fun and exciting math game for young students

The Abacus Project is an engaging learning game intended to be used by young mathematics students. Developed by Ingenuity Works, there are packages available for both home and school use. The ultimate intention of this software is to provide children with a fun and interactive learning environment. It is suitable for children aged between 7 and 12 years. To put this another way, the package can be used for students between second and seventh grade.

Main Functions and Features

The Abacus Project follows the journeys of a young student who falls into an abandoned laboratory while on the way home from school. His or her only companion is a PDA device by the name of Abacus. However, this PDA has lost its memory. It is therefore up to the main character to solve various mathematics puzzles in order to escape the science center and return home. Mazes, riddles and a host of funny creatures await along the way.

Other Options

The Abacus Project focuses around four key mathematical areas. These are problem solving, reasoning and proofs, connections and visual representations. Multiplayer modes are available and all tasks are presented in a graphically pleasing manner. This is ideal for young children who wish to get a better grip on such a challenging subject.
