RockIt Pro DJ is a software package that allows users to mix different audio tracks and to perform numerous other editing tasks. First released in 2011, it it particularly popular with users who still employ older operating systems such as Windows XP. It is a very user-friendly platform and thanks to a relatively small memory footprint, the processing power of most systems will not be adversely affected. There are numerous versions of this software and the latest is 5.0.
There is a very real visual quality to RockIt Pro DJ and its layout is similar to what would be encountered when utilizing a professional mixer. Basic controls include volume, balance, fade and distortion. Timers and mix delays will be able to provide other effects that would not be possible with standard packages such as RealPlayer. There are also a number of audio decks to choose from.
Users will be able to import audio tracks directly into RockIt Pro DJ thanks to a handy menu found on the left-hand side of the screen. Hotkey shortcuts are other options which can be employed in the event that switching between different windows is required. This program supports the majority of the most common file types.
