Riders Republic is an extreme sports game developed by Ubisoft. Here, players can try an array of sporting disciplines on one platform. The game boasts an open-world map that features numerous real-world locations.

Unlike Steep, an action sports game previously released by the same developer, Riders Republic is not limited to snow sports. It blends events in snow, dirt, rocks, and forests. With this, you can try mountain biking, wingsuit flying, and rocket wingsuiting in addition to skiing and snowboarding. Be warned, however as the game can be a relentless barrage, constantly whisking you from one race to the next. 

What is Riders Republic?

Ubisoft described Riders Republic as a massively multiplayer online sports game. Here, players can compete in various racing events. As mentioned, the game is set in an open world, which meshes seven distinct American national parks— Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Yosemite Valley, Zion, Mammoth Mountains, Sequoia Park, and Grand Teton—in one single map. Although, you cannot visit each place at once as you need to win races to unlock them.

More than a large selection of arenas, the game also brings in a new mode for the genre: Mass Race. In the game, more than 50 players can race each other. Not only that, but the game essentially married extreme sports with a battle royale, with the goal of becoming the best among the mass. The winners of these giant races will receive significant rewards and, of course, bragging rights.

Additionally, players can play a 6V6 competitive multiplayer mode named Tricks Battle Arena. Like Graffiti from the Tony Hawk: Pro Skater franchise, teams will perform tricks to secure points. There is also a career mode where you can earn brand sponsorships. Riders Republic also allows you to connect with other players through the social hub. However, you cannot play leisurely as the game forces you to participate in races. 

Is the game good?

If you are a fan of extreme sports or open-world games, then Riders Republic will be right up your alley. The game app covers every action sport available. Moreover, it takes you to magnificent locations based on real life. You can even bond with fellow players. However, there is some fuzziness in the trick system that stops them from being satisfying. Additionally, the endless races can be taxing over time.
