There’s no denying that photography has boomed in popularity in our world today, and that’s why photo editors like Photoshop have become such massive hits in the market recently. While photo editors like Photoshop are indeed very powerful, most people probably won’t need all of the extra features that Photoshop has. Fortunately, there’s the Polarr Photo Editor that acts as a sort of middle ground. It’s definitely not as powerful Photoshop, but it’s got enough features to make your photos look amazing and professional.
The Polarr Photo Editor is all about speed and efficiency. Installing it is not as much of a tedious process as the industry juggernauts which is an amazing breath of fresh air. In fact, there’s no installation process at all. Just click on the EXE file and the Polarr Photo Editor will run at once.
Upon first launching the program, the user will be shown a guided tour of the interface of the program. That’s very helpful because, with all of the features in the program, it’s not unlikely that the user will be lost at first glance.
Without a doubt, the biggest asset of the Polarr Photo Editor is its multitude of filters. You won’t have to worry about how to edit photos because, with just one click, your photo will automatically look a million times better than it did before when you add filters.
The filters are divided into different categories with each category containing no less than eight filters. Unfortunately for free users, only the first three categories are available to them. That said, those three categories do have twelve filters each so users still have plenty of them to play with.
If you’re the kind of user who’s not really into filters, then don’t you worry. The Polarr Photo Editor does allow you to edit a photo manually. You can edit the temperature, tint, vibrance, and saturation of the photo to make the colors pop more. You can also edit the clarity, contrast, exposure, highlights, and shadows of the photo to ensure that its values are reading properly. Users can also crop the photo and add gradient and radial masks to them.
Additionally, if you happen to create an adjustment setting that you really like, you’ll be able to add it as a custom filter. Unfortunately, this feature is also only available in the paid version of the game.
If you’re not in need of some heavy-duty editing then the Polarr Photo Editor is a pretty good alternative to Photoshop. It may not have some of the features that we’ve become accustomed to seeing from a photo editor like curves, free transform, and layers, but the become Photo Editor makes up for it by having a lot of filters. This makes the program very easy to learn and get accustomed to. The fact that it’s incredibly beginner-friendly is definitely something to appreciate.
