Photo Lab is a free multimedia app that allows you to breathe life into your photos. This photo-editing tool from Selteco allows you to perform typical functions like adding filters, stickers, effects, and any other decorative elements you want to use in order to create an eye-catching output. 

Photo Lab also has its own built-in camera that you can use to take high-definition shots so you don’t have to worry about diminishing quality when transferring photos from one application to another. Unfortunately, the app isn’t quite as powerful when compared to programs like PicsArt and Snapseed.

What makes Photo Lab appealing is that users can easily apply filters to their photos even before they take a snapshot, so that they can get a clear idea of what their output will look like. Some of the filters you can use include your usual sepia and monochrome effects, as well as a unique night vision filter. Users can even make use of a superzoom feature to get an up-close look at their subject.

Once you’ve taken your photo, you can apply any other stickers and effects to your images, including text stickers, neon signages, and even adorable masks. Unfortunately, the app’s functionalities end here. When attempting to export your final output to your local photo album, you can run into bugs that cause your app to crash. The app doesn’t have a save feature for edits, either, so you’ll have to redo everything from scratch.

Furthermore, the app lacks a number of basic tools like the ability to adjust an image’s contrast, saturation, highlights, and exposure. This forces you to make use of a separate application to apply these changes before you upload them to the app to continue your work. While it still has the ability to crop your images and doodle on your photos, the app’s overall abilities feel quite weak when compared to its competitors.

Not the best choice

While Photo Lab has a number of promising features that come in the form of its unique filters and high-quality camera, its absence of even the most basic editing tools makes it fall short of expectations. With numerous other applications on the market that can perform all of the same features and more, this photo editor ends up feeling quite forgettable in the long run.
