How many yards are there in a kilometer? How do you say five hundred in Roman numbers? Is it cold at 40º Fahrenheit?
You can now easily answer all these questions with Numerical Chameleon, a unit conversion tool with support for more than 3,000 different units in 82 different categories. The program is coded in Java works in a very simple way: you only need to select the source and target units and see the result in real time. There's also the possibility to add results to a text list that you can later on export to a file.
Numerical Chameleon includes other original tools, such as a phonetic alphabet converter (which translates any word into the "alfa-bravo-charlie" alphabet and other similar codes) and a color picker. Ok, this one is not that original but in any case you wouldn't expect to find it in a unit converter, would you?
The only drawback I found is that apparently, you can't add new categories to the program. But then again, it's not that bad, as Numerical Chameleon is quite complete and will probably have response for all your converting needs.
Numerical Chameleon is a full featured unit conversion tool with which you'll never be lost with strange measurements ever again.
