Ever had a music album saved as a single, long MP3 file that you would like to split into its correspondent tracks? mp3splt is the right tool for this job.

With mp3splt you can split single MP3 and OGG files into smaller parts in a very easy way. Simply open up the file and then select the splitting method you'd like to use: set the splitpoints manually, tell the program to divide the file according to silence breaks between tracks, use a cue file or search an online CD database for information about the album.

mp3splt includes a built-in player that works great for manually setting split points, and also lets you check the results before actually dividing the file. The program features extra options to edit the files' ID tags and rename them according to a customizable pattern.

mp3splt doesn't include any documentation (you'll have to check out the developer's website if you need help) but is pretty straightforward. Most times you'll have your album divided into several tracks in less than one minute.
