Dolby Access lets you set up and trial Dolby Atmos, an advanced sound technology for immersive audio. The application helps you configure Windows 10 to support Dolby Access over HDMI. Although you can enable Dolby Atmos for your home theatre or sound bar, you need to pay extra for experiencing the changes with headphones.

Sound with standard headphones is often muffled, and overall sounds are not as crisp and sharp as you would expect. The volume level is also boosted. While the home theatre mode is included with Dolby Access, the need to pay for the software’s headphone functionality is also a turn-off.
