ActCAD is a highly advanced computer-aided design software which can be used to render accurate two- and three-dimensional models. It is commonly employed by engineers, architects and similar technical consultants. While extremely impressive in regards to the tools that are offered, it has been designed in such a way as to be easy to manipulate.
ActCAD is one of the most advanced native CAD software suites on the market today. Its designers have also taken into account the fact that modern design requirements dictate that a streamlined UI is included. Its IntelliCAD engine supports both DWG and DXS software while other traditional variants are recognized. These include (but are not limited to): PDF, 3D PDF, SVG, OBJ, and STL. Block libraries are also included, as these can be used to reference industry-specific issues such as civil engineering templates or mechanical engineering guidelines. Perhaps one of the most impressive tools offered by the latest version of ActCAD 2019 Professional is what is known as the Artisan Renderer. This multimedia application allows users to fashion a realistic three-dimensional image model through the use of snapshots, embedded preset materials and unique backgrounds. It is therefore much easier to track the progression of a project across multiple stages.
ActCAD has incorporated a centralized dashboard that is similar in design to many of the more expensive CAD applications currently on the market. Commands, icons and shortcuts can therefore be accessed within seconds. Another great feature includes the ability to obtain a "tip of the day". Even those with only a moderate amount of experience should be able to leverage the tools offered. An additional issue which has plagued some other CAD software suites is that data could be lost when transferring DXF and DWG files. Thanks to the presence of the ACIS 3D Kernel, this problem is no longer a concern. All subsequent drawings and designs can thereafter be saved to various formats (as well as those mentioned in the previous section). Other intuitive features include an automatic update check, a unit converter, 15 international languages, and approximately 562 RGB color values to choose from.
ActCAD 2019 has retained many of the most popular features associated with previous versions while simultaneously introducing several UI enhancements. Numerous add-ons and free technical support are likewise included as standard features. All licenses are perpetual, so no renewal fees or annual subscriptions are required. Improved performance levels, the addition of the IntelliCAD 8.4B engine, a familiar interface and a low lifetime price should represent appealing features to those who have been looking for a powerful all-around CAD software package. In case you need help, on the developer's website you will find tutorials as well as a robust support page.
