I bet you thought the day a sheep went into Space would be the day pigs fly. Well, the sheep beat the hogs to it.

Sheep Launcher Free sees you send a woolly creature soaring into the stratosphere. You launch the critter vertically with the touch of a button then must keep him airborne by tapping on him as he loses altitude. This is easier said than done because he has a tendency of plummeting towards Earth pretty quickly.

Sheep Launcher Free proves to be a highly addictive challenge. There are lots of power-ups to collect such as rocket boosters, bouncing pillows and helium injections, all of which make the game more interesting. An online high scores table helps to keep the challenge going for a while.

In terms of its graphics, Sheep Launcher Free is cutesy and colorful. However, it's the sound that really makes the difference for me, and the inclusion of The Blue Danube as the background music is a nice reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Unfortunately the responsiveness of the touch control in Sheep Launcher Free isn't quite up to scratch. Sometimes it seems like your taps don't register at all, making it very annoying when the poor little lamb is hurtling towards the ground at a rate of knots.

However, if you've got the dexterity to pull it off though, the sky is the limit with Sheep Launcher.
