Melon Playground is a simulation game developed by Yuri Podvalov. This free game allows players to experience People Playground on their mobile devices. They can shoot, stab, mutilate, and destroy ragdolls the same way as the popular sandbox game.

Melon Playground shares the same gameplay as People Playground. What makes it different is that it has no limits and no rules. Players are free to do anything in the sandbox. It also has various weapons that you can use. However, like its inspiration, it is quite brutal and bloodthirsty, but its wonky graphics and animation make it less gory.

The PC game, People Playground, made waves in 2019. The game offers a unique premise, allowing players to unleash their sadistic sides. It comes with a wide variety of weapons you can use on a person. It gained an overwhelmingly positive response from players despite its violent gameplay. Sadly, although it has worldwide popularity, its developer did not release a mobile version.

Melon Playground offers a minimalist, 2D retro-style mobile version of People Playground. As mentioned, it provides the same gameplay as the original sandbox game. You have a wide selection of weapons, including poison, knives, and guns. Even better, the characters you can play and kill come in various shapes, such as pumpkin and corn. However, the selection of characters and weapons is smaller than the original.

Players will find a few bug issues affecting the game's performance. For one, the weapon flies off when it flips sideways while on top of floating objects. Connecting a bunch of objects also often ends up in a collision. Moreover, the ragdolls are so easy to kill that they die with a simple attack. Speaking of dying, this mobile version has more mellowed violence due to its wonky art style.

Is the game good?

With Melon Playground, you can play People Playground without needing a PC. It has the same mechanics as the popular sandbox game. With this, you don't need any learning curve. However, the items and characters are a lot smaller. There are also bug issues that limit the things you can do. Similar to its inspiration, it has a violent premise that is not suitable for sensitive players.
